1. Who we are
Wisemonk operates
legal.wisemonk.io (the “Service”), an AI-assisted compliance review tool for cross-border contractor payments into India. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us with questions.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and name, obtained via Google OAuth or magic-link sign-in through our auth provider (Supabase).
- Uploaded documents — contracts, invoices, payslips, TDS certificates and other records you submit for compliance review.
- Analysis output — findings, suggestions and compliance scores generated by our AI engine, stored against your account.
- Usage data — basic server logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamps) needed to operate and secure the Service.
3. How we use your information
- To run compliance analysis on the documents you upload.
- To authenticate you and keep your data scoped to your account.
- To improve the Service — for example, fixing bugs, measuring aggregate usage, and refining our prompt library.
- To communicate product updates when you’ve signed up for beta access.
4. AI processing
Document text is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for compliance analysis. Under our commercial agreement, Anthropic does not train models on our customer data. Document contents are not retained by Anthropic beyond the time required to return a response.
5. Data storage and security
- Data is stored in managed Postgres (Render) and managed auth (Supabase); both host in encrypted environments.
- All traffic is served over HTTPS with TLS terminated by our hosts.
- Access to production data is restricted to named team members on a least-privilege basis.
6. Data retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and its associated documents by emailing
support@wisemonk.io. Server logs are rotated periodically and retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Where applicable under Indian DPDP Act, 2023 and equivalent laws (GDPR, UK DPA, CCPA), you may also request a copy of your data in portable form.
8. Not legal advice
The Service produces AI-generated compliance guidance. It is not legal, tax, or accounting advice. Verify any finding with a qualified Chartered Accountant, lawyer, or equivalent professional before acting on it.

10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects when the most recent change was made. Material changes will be announced in the product before taking effect.
